The Wenatchee Jazz Workshop, now in its 12th year, offers local music students the opportunity to learn from and perform with 6 of the finest jazz musicians in the country. Students spend time each day of the workshop learning from professionals with a passion for sharing jazz with young musicians. The WJW Pros 'Live' was recorded February 2011 by Dave Keefer and captures the remarkable talents of our visiting musicians. 100% of the proceeds benefit the WJW. Recorded at the Performing Arts Center of Wenathcee.

Thanks For A Successful 2012 Workshop!

The WJW Planning Committee wishes to express a HUGE Thank You to the dozens of sponsors and volunteers and the 160 participating students and their direcotors for making the 2012 Wenatchee Jazz Workshop so successful. With the return of the LA6tet for the 5th year, the workshop again provided inspiration to our valley's young jazz musicians. This year we reached more students than ever before and expanded to a full 5 day schedule. Thanks to Tom, Clay, Ira, Rich, Jeff and Dick for their continued efforts in support of jazz education and for their great musicianship and inspiration to our kids. Thanks also to the staff at the PAC for taking such good care of us; to the Wenatchee Valley Museum for their fiscal sponsorship and to Dave Keefer for recording the Pros' Concert again this year.

The organizers of the Wenatchee Jazz Workshop wish to thank all sponsors, volunteers and community members who make this annual event possible. Thanks also to the Wenatchee High School Music Department students and staff, who allow use of their classrooms.

Without the vision and dedication of Mr. Jeff Sandberg, this workshop would not exist. Mr. Sandberg developed this special experience, and the current directors wish to express our gratitude and admiration along with our best wishes for a happy retirement.
